Happy New Year

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to Everyone. I hope your festivies were blessed with family and friends and we look forward to a fruitful New Year. Things have been actually pretty relaxed at our house this year, it has been a good change to truly just have the stress free time to reflect on the year and prepare for the coming year. We got the P90X system and Lindsay, Kevin and I are trying to figure out the meals plans and works out schedules. Kevin changes his schedule today to Tues, Wed, Thurs, Fri 7am-5pm (Normal Human Hours)LOL. It brings us the time to prepare our daily routines and get back on a regular schedule before we hand our kids of for two+ weeks and head across the pond. Then hopefully his schedule will change to 4pm-2am when we return from our journey to get Alyssa. Next soon then will come summer break and Kevin realized that he will be home this year with FIVE kids. It is amazing how fast time flies, especially if you are focused in on a goal. Have Great New Year and please keep us in your prayers.

Fundraising

Here is a call out to everyone we know or anyone you would like to pass this on to. We need to start some serious fundraising and request for donations or we are not going to make it in time for us to leave. Because of Alyssa's age we need to move fast or she could be moved any day to an institution and that would really set her back and complicated the process. We are asking for any donations and also any suggestions of fundraising ideas. To donated please go to Reecesrainbow.net, then selected commited famlies, then homestudy in progress then scroll down to Alyssa and you can donated to the non profit and the money will go directly to the fees we have to pay in the Ukraine for the adoption process. If that is to complicated you can send it directly to us at :1509 Symons St, Laramie, WY 82070 and we can use if for plane tickets and hotels since we will have to be over there for 2+weeks.

Excited for Christmas

Finally I am getting excited for Christmas this year. Since we moved to Wyoming we have changed houses three times in Four years finally this one is ours. I have not been excited for Christmas because it was not our home yet. Plus this year we have so much to be thankful for, we are truly blessed. It is hard not to buy present for Miss Alyssa, since she feels like a part of our family allready. She probably might not even know what gifts are all about. We are desperately praying for donations to come in in time for us to get her before her Birthday April 23rd. Merry Christmas!!!

Frustrated

Alright everybuddy I need advice. How do you deal with the stress of being worried about finances and having enough to complete the adoption proecess. But balance that with the desire to get everything done as quickly as possibly so that we don't lose her. It just seems like some days I have great strong faith and then other days I let fear sneak in. Since we started the paperwork it seems like things don't move quick enough, but we have to get the home study done before we can apply for most grants and loans. Well and of course you don't want to get so stressed that you take it out on your dear family. I love my husband and kids and that is not what I want to do. Help give me some ideas! Thank You

Band Concert

Tonight was Austin's band concert. He is a percussionist and he has improved so much since the begining of the year. We are hoping to get him a full set of drums, maybe that is a bad idea. So much noise!!!! I really like watching the kids doing things they really love.

More Paperwork

We got our fingerprints done and sent off to DCI. More and more questions about everything in the world for our homestudy. Some you really have to dig deep to remember, things from that long age are just distant memories.Sometimes I am so focused one getting paperwork done that I don't think about much else. Then I see the picture of Alyssa and I realize we are actually going to go get her and it seems almost like a dream.

Page One

So exciting! We got our first page of our Dossier done today, baby steps I know but one step closer. It makes it all seem more real the closer we get to compiling all this paperwork. Spoke to Wyoming Children's Society today and they mailed out our reference yesterday and on to FBI background checks. That should be a breeze since my husband is a Sheriff and I am a court clerk. We are coming baby girl!
